You did it!!

To be honest they asked me to give a speech at graduation since I was going to be valedictorian, but I thought, “no, I would rather Eric Barnard be valedictorian. He worked harder than me, he should have this honor.” So, I stepped down and let Eric step-in. Okay, all that is made up. haha… I wasn’t near being valedictorian… I know, I know… shocker! But I’m pretending that’s true, and here is my speech to you. (see, I’m just so clever. haha)

I still remember my graduation day like it was yesterday. Crazy to think it’s been 8 years already!! Soon, the class of 2012 will be saying the same thing. Which brings me to this point, time NEVER stops. It keeps going. You think that your senior summer will be so amazing (and it is!!!) but then the next summer comes, and the next and the next. All of a sudden you’re sitting at your computer, typing on your blog wondering where all the time has gone. (A friend of mine was typing on her blog… I’m umm… I’m not talking about me).

I say all that to say, take it all in. Live each moment as it’s your last, because in essence the current moment will be replaced by another. Don’t rush growing up. Trust me, bills and responsibilities come all too fast. Love with all your heart and be kind dang-it! Do good and most of all… love Jesus.

You guys are amazing! I’m SO happy I was able to be apart of your Senior Year at least in part, and one day down the road, you’ll pull out your senior photos (you may snicker at how much you’ve changed) but a flood of memories will come rushing back. That’s what my job is all about.

Love you guys! And THANKS for beings so awesome!!
