I’m so blessed to have such amazing family and friends! I thought, “you know, they put so much amazing beautiful work into these showers, I’m going to share them!” Which is what I’m doing now! Let me tell you, baby showers are fun! At least mine were. You get to see your closest friends, your family comes to support and love you, you get to play cheesy games (just admit it, they are cheesy. BUT FUN!!), and in my case you get to eat a lot of doughnuts! What more could you want besides doughnuts and veggie pizza!? Okay, maybe not together, BUUUUT…. you get the idea. I loved food before I was pregnant, I now have a slight obsession with food.
I needed to break my train of thought, I about stopped this post, just to go get a monster cookie I made the other night. But I’m focused, I’m here. I want to share these fun, beautiful, amazing showers!
This first shower was my family shower. The theme was Dr. Seuss. I wish I would have taken a photo of each of the invitations! I’m a baby shower virgin (okay, that sounds kinda strange) but hindsight is always 20/20. Wish I would have documented the invites! Anyway, anyway… they did an amazing job! My mom, Chrystal & Chami threw me this shower! Awe… you guys rock!
Look how stinking cute! They even named the food based on different Dr. Seuss books… so creative!
Veggie pizza I was talking about. The doughnuts come later…
This drink was super cool! Sprite with jello cubes. The jello cubes would float up and down in the pitcher, similar to a lava lamp. Plus it was yummy too!
Game time! I didn’t photograph it (again, darn hindsight, wish I would have!) but everyone got a blank card and a number. Whatever number you got, you wrote Claira a birthday card for that year’s birthday!! I got 16 so I put 16 confettis that were on the table in her card! I LOVED that “game”.
Opening presents for a baby is sooooo fun!! On the invites they asked everyone to bring a book instead of a card, so I got to line Claira’s bookshelves with books from this shower. I thought that was really special!
And then, them knowing me so well… photo booth! This was so fun! Everyone got their photo taken then I mailed them a copy with their thank you card. It was fun! AND a great way to get photos of your guests!
When Kev came to help me load up everything, we got a quick shot too!
My next shower was thrown by my friends Jentry, Jessica & Lora! They decided on a brunch so we had the shower at 10:30 that morning. It was a BEAUTIFUL day for it too! Do you remember in August when we had that super hot spell? Like sweating just standing there? Well, we were so blessed because that morning it was like 70 degrees! It was awesome!! This shower was so special to me because it was a lot of my friends and their kiddos or my friends and their mommas! So like a mom/daughter shower! I loved it! Oh, and this is where the doughnuts come into play…
This coffee bar was amazing! They totally know me so well!
Morgan was a fan of the coffee bar too!
I was bound to document more at this shower… so I thought I may want to remember what I ate… lol.
Present time = fun time!
My most fav photo! Baylor was just as excited as I was opening presents!! hahaha… SO CUTE!!
I just LOVE her! I could squeeze her everyday!
One thing I’m SO glad I did was get a photo with my guests! These will be fun to look at down the road. I missed a few because there is just so much going on I forgot to get my camera before a few headed home. boo.
The beautiful hostesses!
They even got everyone a small bottle of wine to take home with them… I’m just waiting to break mine open in celebration of Claira’s arrival!
And last but certainly not least, my last shower! This one was just a couple weeks ago, Oct. 12th! My friends Val & Erin threw me this shower and I’m telling you, I have some creative friends!! Everything was so beautiful and yummy, and yes, I got to have more doughnuts! We did a brunch theme for this shower as well. I highly recommend a brunch, it’s great! You still have the rest of your day to hang out (or in my case, recover. Seems like I take 2 steps and I need to recover!). Anyway, this shower was SO special to me because it was all my friends from all different walks of life! I had a couple of my Victoria’s Secret friends there, my church friends, family friends, fun friends, cute friends, friends friends friends! It was super!!
Look at these cute details!
Ella was my helper at this shower! All these cute little girls make me so excited to meet my own!
I won’t lie. I didn’t do as good a job this shower capturing everything. We played this super fun game called Baby Price it Right where they put prices from items on my registry on a paper and you had to guess the price. It was fun. Then a game where you had to fill in blanks to a bunch of different nursery rhymes. I do have 1 photo on my iphone, but dang it, I should have taken more! boo!
That photo on the right is my mother in law, my sis in law and my beautiful niece! Love them!
Awe! I just LOVE looking through these! I love all these very special girls and ladies!!
Poor Charlie… this is what happens when you’re the only boy at an all girls shower. I think these photos will be perfect for his graduation open house…lol
That’s that! My amazing, beautiful, fun showers to celebrate Claira and help us prepare for her arrival! Which is only in 2 weeks and 2 days(ish)!! Holy smokes I can’t WAIT to meet her!! Thank you to my amazing friends & mom for putting these showers on! I know it’s a lot of work and my heart is so full looking back through these photos. I’m so thankful for each of you in my life and my amazing friends & family! I can’t WAIT for Claira to meet you and love you as much as I do!!
I’m not sure HOW it’s possible that I’m sharing my last 2013 wedding! I’m pretty sure this season flew right on by (although it’s shortened a bit due to Baby Claira’s arrival in November). However, I’m so excited to share with you my last wedding of 2013! I ended with a bang, that’s for sure!
Kyle & Brooke Corcoran- September 21, 2013
Brooke & her girls got ready at her sister’s house, which was so dang beautiful!
We switched the day up a bit and photographed the guys first, which made for a fun day! This was a GREAT group of guys!
Next we headed to the church where there was a frenzy of photos to take!
Brooke, YOU my friend, are one stunning bride!
See what I mean, ended with a bang!? Who gets to have this much fun working!? We were all cracking up. So fun!
Now, this photo is basically for me to shame myself… Toni… remember this when you don’t want to mess with doing your hair that day. Good heavens!! Stick with the bun… just, seriously. Okay, public shaming over, back to the photos!
FIRST SIGHT! My fav!
So sweet, so stinking sweet! I LOVE this part of the day!
I know it’s a bit soon… but you guys are going to have some beautiful babies!!

How cute is Brooke’s nephew!? I love that memory!
I turned around after the cake and saw this… they are way too cute!
Their dance was so sweet! The Father/Daughter dance is one of my most favorite events at the reception!!

This is ALWAYS my favorite photo of the evening! Brooke & Kyle- thank you guys sooooo much for asking us to photograph your wedding day! I can’t imagine a more fun/perfect wedding to wrap up the season! We feel so honored to have been there to enjoy your day with you and to capture the memories for you!! Love you guys LOTS!!! (And lots!) xoxo!
I’m so blessed. Really. To be apart of such beautiful weddings, where the bride & groom’s love for one another is overflowing and is so evident, is SUCH a blessing! And to get to photograph these days with my best friend is like the cherry on the cake! (However, I need a new expression because I don’t like cherries on cakes.) So I’ll say, it’s like a fudge-pop right out of the freezer!! Now we’re talking!
So anyway, this wedding was so great! I’ll let the photos do the talking because when you look through them, I have NO doubt you’ll see the spark and love in these families, in this couple, and in the day!
Heather & Joe Thieke- September 7, 2013
Love this shot Kev got of the rings!!
Heather you are so dang beautiful!!!!!
Heather and her best friend, Robyn!
Pretty sure I’m going to need to get Kev one of these shirts!
Eeeek!! My favorite part of the day! FIRST SIGHT!!
So sweet. So SO sweet!
I knew with this couple we could get down to business! Dipping photo right out the gate! Nailed it.
Heather, I’m pretty sure you belong in a bridal magazine!
Since they saw each other before the ceremony, we had time to drive to another location just a few minutes down the road… LOVED it there too!
Oh goodness I just love these! You guys did so great!!
When we got back to the church for family photos, these 2 dolls were there. I mean, CUTIES!!! Makes me excited for Claira to get here!
Wonderful parents… really terrific!
I love these moments!
Love this!! Pretty sure I can see this one framed on Joe’s desk.
We had a few minutes while the appetizers were being made so we made sure to take advantage of this BEAUTIFUL last bit of summer light!!
There is something about this photo that makes my heart skip a beat!
Then it was inside for some fun and food!!
This cake… wow! J. Edwards nailed it! I had the chocolate with peanut butter creamy delicious icing! Holy smokes it was amazing!!
Awe! Baby bump! So cute!
Okay, she is my fav! (I’m sorry for picking favorites, but look how cute she is!!)
Loved this moment with grandpa! Awe!!
And my fav photo of the evening… with the lovely bride and groom!!
Heather & Joe- Thank you guys SOOOOO much for asking us to photograph your special day! It was so beautiful, you guys are SO great together and we wish you all the happiness in marriage! It’s def. one of the best things about life!
This was such a GREAT engagement session! I have Mason & Natalie’s wedding next year in June and I’m stoked for it! As you’ll see in the photos, Mason and Natalie are seriously in love. I LOVED it! I could see the adoration Natalie had for Mason and Mason totally showed his affection for Natalie! Thank you guys for being so genuine… it made for some smashing photos! Plus we couldn’t have asked for a better night! The sun light was so soft, Natalie is breathtaking, I just really enjoyed this session! Makes me SUPER excited for the big day!!
Anyway, it’s late so the lateness is saving you from my meaningless ramblings. Let’s get to the lovey stuff!
Natalie & Mason- Engaged!
I really really reallllllly like these!
It’s getting to the point where I need a crane to lift me when I get down here to get these super low angles, but I just LOVE them!
I got into the weeds to shoot and this creepy little dude was right were I needed to be. Mr. Stickman.
But I was willing to share his forest with him for this shot. (Actually I flung him outta the way.) I can’t shoot knowing he could jump down my shirt at any moment!!
Natalie!! You’re going to make a stunning bride! Hurry up June!!
Mason & Natalie- Thank you SOOOO much for asking me to document this special time in your lives! The engagement process is so fun and I’m SO happy and excited for you guys!! Eeeeeep!! xoxo!
This was my last regular season wedding of 2013! As in, Brooke & Riley were my last wedding “every Saturday of the summer wedding”. I do still have 2 in September, but my wedding season is starting to wrap up in preparation for Claira’s arrival! Yahoo! And as you’ll see… it’s probably a good thing… I’m starting to get to the point where bending over to fluff the bride’s dress is not so easy anymore!
I say all that to say, I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding to be apart of as this wedding season winds down. Brooke & Riley had a terrific day! Made lots of memories, and can attest that getting married (not all the details that may have mishaps) is what’s important! The day reminded me a lot of my own wedding! Which if that’s a sign of what’s to come… you guys have a happy future ahead!
Okay, I’ll stop rambling and get to the photos!
Mr. & Mrs. Eller- August 3, 2013
Check these babies out! White Iris designs people… I’m telling you! Go with them!! They rock!
Love this one! Brooke you’re so beautiful!!
Such beautiful ladies!
Love that shot Cate got on the right! Eeep! So cute!
Studs… when you got it, you got it!
It was about 30min before game time and I headed back into the girls’ room to grab my bag and they were doing a quick bible study before the ceremony. So the “We love Jesus” sign in the room is very appropriate! I thought this was so awesome! Keeping the first things first!
The garter Brooke used was Riley’s grandmother’s garter! (Erika’s mom, which is why it’s even neater that Erika is putting it on Brooke.) So cool!!
What terrific super amazing parents you guys have!
Cate did an amazing job at this wedding! I’m so thankful for her… and this awesome shot! LOVE it!
More beautiful White Iris work!
The candy bar rocked!! The sweet tarts were my personal fav!
Since my bro was one of the ushers I got a quick pic with him… yay!! Love him!
You guys are so cute!
This was so cute! The flower girl was itching to get out there and dance with her aunt and grandpa! It was so cute to watch her… she would get up then sit down, then get up take a few steps out and sit back down. hehe… so cute!!
Then the dance partay started- my personal favorite time of the night! So fun!!
You KNOW it’s a good dance party when the parents and grandparents make it out!!
And I even got to dance with my brother!! I haven’t got to dance with him since my wedding. So thankful for this photo- thanks Cate!
Eeeep!! You guys are cute!!
Awe! You guys! I just love ya! Thank you sooooooo much for asking me to photograph your special day! It was super terrific and I feel so blessed and honored to have been able to spend the day with you guys! xoxo!
