I had so much fun at this wedding. Emily and her girls were so sweet! Kyle and his groomsmen were so laid back, I mean, it was a terrific day! Quick random side note: I haven’t seen that much rain on a wedding day all season, but you know what… Cate and I got there and everyone had a smile on their face and was ready to get the day a-rolling! As a photographer, you can only hope to have brides and grooms as laid back at Emily and Kyle!
So happy for you guys, but I’m sure you’re ready to get to the photos. Let’s do it!
Mr. & Mrs. Anderson- July 6th, 2013
If you know me, you know I like a cute pair of shoes! So I knew right away Emily was my girl when she had 2 pair for the day! And CUTE ones at that!
Emily and all her bridesmaids had these cool tanks to get ready in. A cute alternative to the typical “bride” tank.
I LOVE momma time after the dress gets put on. It’s a special time!
Emily & her best friend!
It may have been raining, but who doesn’t love the inside of the Union building!? And these pretty girls made it look REAL good!
Kyle and his guys… they don’t mess around.
Kyle & his best man… AND he was Kyle’s cousin. I thought that was cool!
Emily getting ready to see Kyle for the first time that day! Eeep! Always so exciting!!
Awe!! Love Love LOOOOVE getting to see the groom’s reaction!
Since it was raining BUCKETS outside, we found this pretty stained glass! I dig it!
And then… I kid you not… the Lord stopped the rain. It just stopped. So we headed outside! yay!
Awe you guys!!
Emily- you’re the definition of the perfect bride: pretty, laid back, FUN, care-free, enjoying the day. I just love ya!! And how about that adorable bouquet!? LOVE the gerber daises with the hydrangea! Oh White Iris… you NEVER cease to amazing me!
Then… the rain started again. No biggie… Emily needed a rest… which I thought was a sweet photo opportunity. Loved it!
After the 5 min break we proceeded with more cuddling…
oh you know… when you got it… you got it.
We decided to finish up at Ross-Ade where the ceremony would be taking place.
And the rain stopped for the rest of the day!
What sweet parents! It’s always so nice when the parents are sweet!
Instead of candles, sand, all the typical… Emily & Kyle opted for a painted canvas. Holy smokes, I wish I would have thought of this when Kev & I got married. It’s so neat!!!
I just love them together! I kept saying that all day.
On to the reception!
Please note the sweet balloons that look like they are floating away. I mean… I LOVED all the details!
And the coooooolest gift table EVER!
You know when someone is cutting the meat in front of you… it’s gonna be good!
I know I sound like a crazy lady gushing over all these details… but do you see the glitter on the cupcakes, people!? GLITTER! Like my second most favorite thing in the world! Not to mention Mammaw’s Sweetshoppe made them, so they were ridiculously tasty too!
Okay focus… where was I? Oh ya… GLITTER! On the cupcakes! See, I’m still obsessed! I can’t help myself…
And it keeps getting better (even though glitter on something as tasty as Mammaw’s cupcakes is pretty hard to beat) BUT… none-the-less, Emily & Kyle did an entire choreographed ballroom dance for their first dance. It was so sweet!
And then… the dance party!
Shew! What a terrific day with a TERRIFIC couple! I mean, when my hair looks like that at the end of the day… rest assured… we got some great shots!
Emily & Kyle- thank you guys SOOOOOO much!!! Man, I had just a terrific time at your wedding! (I apologize for using the word terrific a kazillion times- it’s just how I feel!) It’s weddings like yours that feel more like fun instead of work! I’m so happy for you guys! I wish you lived in Indiana so we could do dinner and go get glitter cupcakes for dessert together! xoxo!!
This was a FUN session! We laughed, we trespassed (kidding… sorta) , we got some great shots and made some great memories!
I was lucky enough to take Ryan’s brother’s senior photos a couple years ago, so I knew I was in for a good time when Jennifer asked me to take Ryan’s. This time, I had the treat of both Jennifer & Karli’s company… which really helped when it came time to get Ryan to smile
Thank you guys SO much for asking me to take Ryan’s photos. I always enjoy my time with you guys… and the sweet tea runs that Lonnie is so kind to go on to bring us a cool refreshment, couldn’t ask for a better family!

I loved this location!
Tell me Ryan doesn’t look like Dylan on the left and Aaron on the right… what a good mix!
Okay, listen… if you haven’t been out to see the football team yet, go. This Friday. You won’t be able to miss Ryan… he is the BEAST out on the field. Seriously, Kev & I were beyond impressed with him last game. So good!!
And my favorite sport…
Okay, I’ll leave you with my favorite photo! Love this!!
Ryan, Jennifer & Karli… thank you guys SO much for such a fun evening!! You’re the best!
I love the photos from this session! We went to some new locations, and it’s always fun to let creativity run free! Which is what we did, and Braydon did such a great job!! I want to get right to these photos, I’m really excited about them! Enjoy

I always know it’s going to be a FUN session when the laughing starts right away
I love these 2 perspectives. And Braydon- you do a meeean serious face! Love it!!
I. Love. This. Photo!!!! There is just something about the boat, his smile… I just think it has a very nostalgic vibe to it!
Braydon was such a good sport. He did everything we asked him to do. Including looking like a stud.
Big fan of these fishing photos too! I have this unrealistic (well, that’s what Kev tells me anyway…) of a fish getting to close and flopping down my shirt. Can you imagine if that were to ever happen!? I would just die!! Thankfully Braydon didn’t throw his fish at me to where it could flop down my shirt… so we’re cool…
Braydon, Kim, Karlee & Ladd- you guys are an amazing family! It was a treat for Kev and I to hang out with you guys! Thanks again for asking me to do Braydon’s senior session!
This session was SO fun! Eric did such a great job! Most senior guy sessions only take about an hour. It had been an hour and a half by the time we left the gym and Eric took it like a champ! I mean, you pull out a spot light on the basketball court and you better believe I’m taking full advantage
We got to laugh, almost got arrested (okay, not arrested but the police did tell us to stop shooting at one location!) – love making them memories!!, oh… and then my power steering went out on the way to our third location. So when I say Eric did amazing… I really mean it. I couldn’t have asked for a better dude and his momma to be with that day!!

Shawn Rose would have killed us… we were on the court with our regular shoes. SHHHH! Don’t tell
I did a session with Paige last year in the girls locker room… let me tell you… much much nicer. There is even a couch in there! Just kidding!!
This one… my FAVORITE!!! To see it on a 24″ mac… it looks super rad.
LOVE that smile, Eric!!
I’m so happy Eric’s mom Tracy was there to make memories with us! I had SO much fun with you guys!
Eric- you did SO great! Your smiles and and just genuine kindness made this session so fun for me! Good luck on the upcoming season!! I’ll have to make it out to a game to cheer ya on!
You did it!!
To be honest they asked me to give a speech at graduation since I was going to be valedictorian, but I thought, “no, I would rather Eric Barnard be valedictorian. He worked harder than me, he should have this honor.” So, I stepped down and let Eric step-in. Okay, all that is made up. haha… I wasn’t near being valedictorian… I know, I know… shocker! But I’m pretending that’s true, and here is my speech to you. (see, I’m just so clever. haha)
I still remember my graduation day like it was yesterday. Crazy to think it’s been 8 years already!! Soon, the class of 2012 will be saying the same thing. Which brings me to this point, time NEVER stops. It keeps going. You think that your senior summer will be so amazing (and it is!!!) but then the next summer comes, and the next and the next. All of a sudden you’re sitting at your computer, typing on your blog wondering where all the time has gone. (A friend of mine was typing on her blog… I’m umm… I’m not talking about me).
I say all that to say, take it all in. Live each moment as it’s your last, because in essence the current moment will be replaced by another. Don’t rush growing up. Trust me, bills and responsibilities come all too fast. Love with all your heart and be kind dang-it! Do good and most of all… love Jesus.
You guys are amazing! I’m SO happy I was able to be apart of your Senior Year at least in part, and one day down the road, you’ll pull out your senior photos (you may snicker at how much you’ve changed) but a flood of memories will come rushing back. That’s what my job is all about.
Love you guys! And THANKS for beings so awesome!!
